About Me
Hi! I am Becky!
I hope that my website gives you some idea of who I am and the work I do as a Celebrant - I have to say, 'I LOVE being a Celebrant!'
I live in Cornwall with my husband, children and two dogs.
If you are looking for a ceremony in and around Cornwall then I would be delighted to talk to you.
Whilst I find it a privilege to carry out any ceremony, I particularly love being involved in any ceremonies involving children, young people and animals!
There are so many ways to involve your children in your ceremony and my clients have been surprised at how much their children have valued being involved.
I have over 18 years experience of supporting families and I believe that it is important to involve children and young people in key life events such as celebrations and saying goodbye when someone dies.
I have spent many years working with the bereaved and, becoming a celebrant has made me feel able to make a difference to families facing the difficult process of a funeral.
In the process of becoming a Celebrant, I found a forgotten passion for wedding ceremonies and alternative ceremonies.
During my celebrant training with ICPC I was taken back to memories of my early working days as an Assistant Wedding Photographer. I fondly remembered how much I enjoyed that job! Watching couples enjoying and sharing such a special moment in their relationship journey. Since then, I have been very excited about making my clients ceremony dreams come true.
Having been happily married myself for over 23 years, I believe in taking time out to recognise a special relationship - vow renewals and other ceremonies to mark the importance of time passing and celebrating the future to come are a privilege to be a part of.
I would be pleased to chat through your ideas for the ceremony you are looking for and, I take absolutely no offence if you decide that I am not the celebrant for you. I know that if it were my ceremony, I would want the right celebrant and to feel they share my vision.
Please do get in touch if you are looking for a special, caring and unique ceremony, of any kind.
Having the right Celebrant can make the right ceremony!
I am more than happy to travel to a location of your choice outside of Cornwall at additional cost.
My Dogs
I have a French Bulldog , Delilah, and a British Bulldog called Bear. I am a huge lover of dogs and I believe that our animals become part of our family.
Having your animals as part of your ceremony can be so important and so much fun!
Lets talk about any ideas you have about how to involve your beloved pets in your ceremony.
My Family
My husband and I married in 1998 on a cold January day! Our wedding was in a traditional C of E Church. It really was a beautiful day with our family and friends.
I was in the early days of pregnancy with my eldest daughter at the time. This meant that, whilst it was a magical day, we probably didn't do it all exactly how we may have done if we hadn't been so young and pregnant!
We had no idea back then that we could have had more choice in how we celebrated our wedding. We had never even heard of naming ceremonies for babies either.
Sadly we have said goodbye to some family and friends who have died over the years. We had no idea that we could have had more control of who we employed to carry out their funeral services. Being able to make their funerals more personal , like a celebrant can, could have been much more comforting for everyone.
Appointing a celebrant gives you much more control and choice over your ceremony.
I look forward to working closely with you on your own ceremony if you decide I am the right Celebrant for you.
